If you feel little difference between sizes, opting for the smaller generally offers more adaptability down the line. Bikes can quite easily be made to feel bigger, but when trying to shrink a bike that feels too big, your options are more limited.

Ride anywhere, ride far, ride a Sutra.

The Sutra is many things. It's a legendary touring workhorse. It’s functional. It’s stylish. It doesn’t complain. It provides a comfortable riding position, durable parts, that classic steel feel, and somehow doesn’t break the bank. It’s a modern take on the classic touring bike and as its name suggests, it’s the perfect guide for your every ride. Now with hydraulic brakes!
Comfort-centric focus

Kona's Cromoly steel frame is outfitted with a Brooks saddle, matching microfiber bar tape and integrated shifter/brake levers to make every touch-point comfortable and shifting second-nature.

Ride everywhere gearing

The wide-range 2x 10-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain simplifies gear combinations for fewer cross-chaining ratios and less front derailleur rubbing, while maintaining high and low gearing as well as even gear steps.

The kitchen sink?

The Tubus Tara Big Apple front rack carries weight lowers, providing a steadier ride than higher center of gravity rear racks. And full hydraulic calipers (upgraded this year) offer superior braking, especially important when fully loaded!
